A Hybrid Metaverse Experience

The Ask

Nickelodeon wanted to take the Kid’s Choice Awards experience to the next level, beyond television screens and into the digital universe, while ensuring it remained safe, fun, and engaging for children. The goal was to create an immersive, interactive celebration that would resonate across screens and platforms, and bring kids closer to the magic of the event.

The Idea & Solution

We reimagined the Kids’ Choice Awards as a hybrid experience, blending the excitement of a multi-platform simulcast with the thrill of a child-safe metaverse. The idea was to give kids more than just a front-row seat — to let them be part of the action through playful, avatar-led exploration and interactive zones, all while tying in brand integrations seamlessly.

The Execution

We built a vibrant, gamified 3D world where kids could log in as avatars — Nick blimp tours, interactive toon dances, a virtual slime pool, and a specially designed Alpenliebe Eclairs Plus zone. Every element was crafted to entertain while maintaining a secure and child-friendly environment, woven into a multi-platform simulcast across all devices.
